This is one of the most popular concerts on the band's event calendar with the band performing in swing/big band style as the audience wine and dine the night away. The concert will be held at The Trust's Stadium in one of The Trust Stadium's larger function suites with round table format for guest seating and a licensed bar, this event is well attended by those looking for a special night out.

Another highlight of this year's concert will be our guest artist Jo Spiers who is one of New Zealand's premier Jazz Musicians.

Jo's association with brass bands began early in her teenage years with a cornet when she joined her local brass band.

Through the late 70's she added the trumpet to her gig bag and joined the band of the RNZN for the first time in 1978. Jo was the second woman to join the Navy Band.

In the 1980's Jo worked as a freelance trumpeter and performed with many artists, such as the Bolshoi Ballet, Saddler Wells Ballet Co., Four Tops and Temptations. There was also a lot of work for TVNZ, Radio NZ and musicals at the Mercury Theatre.

More recently Jo had the privilege to work with many overseas jazz artists including, Dianne Schuur, Michael Brecker, Louie Bellson, Anita O'Day, Joe Williams, to name a few.

When she's not at work with the Navy Band, Jo performs with the Rodger Fox Big Band, backing various international musicians and vocalists, as well as local artists such as Midge Marsden, Frankie Stevens and Ray Woolf.
