Coming to Centrestage in November the wonderful musical based on the book...
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott.
It tells the story of the March family living in Concord, Massachusetts. Their father has gone away to the civil war, and the mother Marmee desperately tries to keep her four girls, Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy occupied and happy. They love each other; hate each other, through days of joyous triumph and dark tragedy.
Jo is a writer of melodrama's a little like Mills & Boone, and her antics keep everyone on their toes. The girls meet the wonderful neighbour Laurie and his father Mr Laurence, who brings joy to their dull lives. Meg meets a dashing John Brooke, and your heart will warm to the lovely Beth. Meanwhile Amy surprises everybody after her tour of Europe with the formidable Aunt March. Jo eventually gets to New York to meet a publisher, and stays in a boarding house run by Mrs Kirk. And there meets the mysterious Professor Bhaer.
Complete with a wonderful score of music your heart will warm to this well known family story.
