AN ENIGMATIC CONNECTION - ELGAR & MENDELSSOHN

The Auckland Welsh Choir present a Midwinter programme of favourite choral classics from Mendelssohn, Elgar and others. This includes the famous motet, Hear My Prayer featuring our usual line-up of excellent soloists. Its charming solo: "O! For the Wings of a Dove" is sung by talented young soprano Brooke van Velden. The choir is in fine form after their busy Rugby World Cup season supporting the Welsh, and welcomes for this concert English organist Myles Hartley, a newcomer to Auckland.
