From the roots of UK Jungle and DnB to 2012 and beyond bass music the legendary Photek has constantly been evolving the original blueprint with his innovative sound. Now in 2012 he finally makes his long overdue and much anticipated debut New Zealand appearance. Regarded by many as one of the finest electronic music producers of his generation. Photek garnered huge success in the 90's and into the new millennium with his own mutant breed of jungle and drum'n'bass, and his 1997 debut album 'Modus Operandi' on major label Virgin is now considered a clubland classic.
From his remix work for Mo'Wax to his releases on Metalheadz and his collaborations with Nine Inch Nails, Photek is always pushing the boundaries of his sound's and fans' expectations. March 2012 saw Studio K7! release a Photek mix compilation for their highly respected DJ Kicks series. His long awaited new artist album is set to follow later this year.
