The Auckland Welsh Choir annual concert with the Devonport Chamber Orchestra will take advantage of the wonderful acoustics of St Matthews in-the-City Federal Street, Auckland to present Music for a Prince and is in support of Auckland City Mission.
Previous collaborations between the choir and the orchestra include Vaughan William's 'Four Seasons' and a Seaside Series of Mighty Mendelssohn. This year, marking the birth of Prince George (a future Prince of Wales) the choir and orchestra return with a concert anchored with Handel's Coronation Anthems and featuring lullabies for a Prince and favourites from the choir's cornerstone Welsh repertoire.
The concert will also feature soloists and the chamber choir, (known as Telynogion).
