PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION RE PARKING PASSES
= EVERY VEHICLE COMING TO SPLORE MUST HAVE A PARKING PASS =
Reducing our carbon footprint and making the whole of the Splore experience less congested and more sustainable is very important to us. We have looked at the leading festivals abroad and found that a refundable Parking Pass system that incentivizes carpooling and alternative transport is the most effective way to make a positive impact.
The Parking Pass will allow you to bring a vehicle into the festival and access to on-site parking. It costs $50 per vehicle and must be pre-purchased before arriving at the festival. This will be FULLY REFUNDED to the purchaser of the Parking Pass when you arrive with 3+ people in your vehicle - making the parking absolutely FREE.
Vehicles that arrive with fewer than 3 people will not have their Parking Pass refunded.
We’re encouraging carpooling, ride sharing and offering very affordable dedicated public transport that will significantly reduce vehicles coming to site. Alternative low cost public transport to the festival site will be available. Buses, shuttles and boats are currently being investigated – we will release a full range of options soon.
There is a separate Parking Pass for standard passenger vehicles and another for camper vehicles. If you intend to camp in your vehicle or you are towing a caravan please purchase a Camper Vehicle Parking Pass to gain access into the camper vehicle field as opposed to the standard vehicle car park where camping is not permitted.
Pre-booked Camping and Campervan sites plus Glampers include one non-refundable Parking Pass per site booking. If there is more than one vehicle per reserved camping, campervan site or glamp you will need to book a parking pass for each additional vehicle.
Remember carpooling with 3+ peeps is King and will entitle you to free parking!
Proceeds collected from the Parking Pass will go towards supporting the following three charity groups
- Sustainable Coastlines
- Womens Refuge
- Project Crimson
Other revenue will be used for subsidising low cost, affordable public transport options including the price of a bus ride, shuttle or boat trip. This is not a revenue generating exercise for Splore its about being kinder to the planet, reducing vehicles on site, reducing congestion, and making your Splore experience a positive one from go to whoa.
