Fabulous Arts Aotearoa New Zealand Presents:

Mates & Lovers
By Ronald Trifero Nelson
The untold lives of our brothers, sons and fathers.

Based on Chris Brickell's Montana award-winning book 'Mates and Lovers: A History of Gay New Zealand', Fabulous Arts Aotearoa New Zealand stages 300 years of the private (and not-so-private) lives of men who love men. Two actors meander through pre-colonial to the 21st century Aotearoa/New Zealand with a perfect blend of humour and pathos. The new production includes new chorography by Tai Royal and an original score by Samuel Holloway.

"Ronald Trifero Nelson, writer, producer and director has triumphed. The play is masterful!" Gay Nz

"History brought to life with sensitivity and humour" Theatreview
