Let’s help kids in care this Christmas
Christmas is a magical time for our children – the summer holidays, anticipation of gifts, fairy lights, family fun and outings… but it can also be stressful and lonely for those without a home of their own.
The Vodafone NZ Foundation wants your help to create a happier Christmas for 500 kids in care this Christmas. Will you get behind us?
Help us take 500 kids in care to the cinema this Christmas by donating movie tickets.
Each ticket costs $10.50* and for every ticket donated, the Vodafone Foundation will donate another ticket so that the kids can take their favourite friend or care giver with them. Together, we aim to raise 1000 tickets!
Donations before the 15 December 2017, please. Everyone is welcome to donate, so help us reach further by sharing this with friends and family.
Summer holidays are when families are supposed to be together, but it can be hard when you’re separated from your loved ones. Let’s make these kids feel special and experience joy this Christmas as they go watch their movie of their choice, on us.
Thanks for your generosity and thanks to Vodafone Fantastic Fridays for the discounted movie tickets!
About VOYCE Whakarongo Mai
Our Vodafone Foundation partner, VOYCE Whakarongo Mai, is an independent service that is connecting the over 5,700 children and young people in care across Aotearoa to build a positive care identity, advocate with them and influence the development of services to ensure their individual and collective rights are upheld.
It launched last April and it was set up in partnership with care experienced children and young people, four philanthropic funders (including the Vodafone Foundation), Oranga Tamariki, and community organisations.
*Please note that transaction fees will apply for tickets donated
