Winetopia presented by Singapore Airlines

The Greatest Celebration of New Zealand Wine is back! Following on from the sold-out success of 2016, Winetopia presented by Singapore Airlines is returning to Auckland.

Where else can you journey through New Zealand’s stunning wine regions, with 60 wineries from Northland to Central Otago, sample all the Hawkes Bay, Martinborough and Marlborough wines in-between. Wine enthusiasts, lovers and connoisseurs, be prepared to taste and take home your top picks from over 350 wines - if you like wine, want to learn more about wine and have fun, then this is the place to be 9-10 June.

Top wine personalities from some of the city’s leading restaurants will be on hand to lead you beyond the glass, with everything from “Embrace your inner Riesling” to the “Flip Side of Pinot”. They’ll be joined by NZ Master of Wine Emma Jenkins and renowned Australian wine expert Nick Stock to dive deeper into the joys of wine with dedicated Masterclasses.

Renowned comedian, Brendhan Lovegrove, share’s a glass with some of your favourite wine-loving personalities. Join Sir John Kirwan, Chloe Swarbrick, Scotty Stevenson, Boh Runga, Fiona Pardington and Peter Urlich, to unearth their favourite drop, with a splash of humour along the way.

Hopetoun Brown return by popular demand, with their eclectic mix of jazz, blues with a touch of rock and roll, and a pinch of country. This year sees the duo joined by the sounds of Finn Scholes. Hopetoun Brown and the Genius of Finn Scholes are sure to close the party in style.

Plus pair your sumptuous wines with mouth-watering food offerings from Food Snob, Akemi Gyoza, Salash Delicatessen, Regal Salmon, Toastie Bros and Weinrich´s 1895 finest German chocolate.

Win a Trip to Paris. Everybody who attends Winetopia presented by Singapore Airlines has the chance to win a return flight for two to Paris, thanks to our lovely partner Singapore Airlines. Look out for details on how to enter at the event.

About Emma Jenkins (MW)
Emma Jenkins (MW) abandoned her university training in anatomy and structural biology for a more sociable career in wine. She's worked in fine wine retail, studied winemaking and viticulture, and in 2011 became New Zealand’s ninth Master of Wine. Emma is wine columnist for the New Zealand edition of The Australian Women’s Weekly, co-editor of The Independent Wine Monthly alongside Jane Skilton (MW,) and also writes on a freelance basis for a number of trade and general publications. In addition, Emma teaches WSET courses on occasion, is involved with the MW education program, and continues to hone her skills judging wine both at local and international competitions. Emma's spare time is spent attempting to gain control of a large unruly garden populated by small children, dogs, chickens and two pet pigs. This is largely proving futile.
