Epsom Music and Nextdoor Productions present a screening of ‘Notes in the Wood’ - a documentary film:

A maverick in the world of traditional violin making, Stan Monk works on his craft in a garden shed at Muriwai Beach. An artisan, a no.8 wire guy, he blends art, science and passion with his philosophies on life and theories on music. In tune with his environment - the sound of the surf, the wind in the trees, the birdsong - he pursues his quest to make the sweetest sounding violin.

Short film ‘Birth of a New Zealand Symphony’ by Perry Bradley will also be screened.

Friday September 15th, 7:30pm – Raye Freedman Arts Centre
Tickets include a glass of wine and live music.
