Described as a modern urban pop musical about love, coffee, the stock market and the Mambo, ‘Who Loves Me?’ is mainly set in and around Bellini’s café, a crowded but charming café on the busiest corner in the city CBD. It follows the story of Enzo Bellini, proprietor of Bellini’s Café, whose one last wish, before he dies, is to see his heartbroken daughter Sofia happy again.

As we follow Sofia’s convoluted (but tuneful) path to real love – we see her with embarrassing obsessions, fevered mamboing, all the while coping with her loving, but meddling Father. One day Sofia finds herself on a giant Billboard across from the café put up by her father, proclaiming her “the jewel of the city” and inviting interested suitors to call into Bellini’s café.

Not long after a second new Billboard appears with a mysterious inscription – but who was responsible for it?

Penned by the award winning Australian songwriter/composer, JOHN FIELD, ‘WHO LOVES ME?’ bounds off the page – a story with a massive heart, colourful characters and a mesmerizing musical score containing something for everyone; from pop and soul, to big band jazz, to soft laments, Latin brass, choral vocals and straight out rhythm and blues.
