Do you know all the fairytales already? Have you been watching Shrek over and over and saying, "Even this isn't original enough for me anymore!"? Well, we've got the show for you! It's Random Fairytale Generator!

Each night, Improverished will randomly generate a brand new fairytale, and then perform it, right before your very eyes! You'll want to capture the story so you can tell it to your grandchildren in years to come, but you won't be able to, because it's Improv!

This is a new show that combines the familiar nostalgia of fairytales with the fun and spontaneity of Improv. Enthusiastic audience members will even have the opportunity to help generate the title of each night’s show using the amazing Random Fairytale Generating Machine.

Brought to you by Improverished, the delightful Improv group who presented a Sold-Out season of their show Can I Get An Underground Location and a Mythical Creature at Fringe 2020.

Come and see classic characters get revisited, and new stories get told. It's a completely improvised show full of wisdom, magic, and silliness that’s a different tale every time.

Accessibility information:

• Venue has a ramp entrance and is wheelchair accessible

• There is no lock-out time for this show and you are welcome to come and go during the performance if needed, though we do suggest sitting at the back or sides as otherwise it will be hard to get out

• Bathrooms are 10 metres from performance space and can be accessed at any time during performance, though again we would recommend sitting at the back or at the side

• Lighting will be natural lighting and fluorescent (no stage lights)

• Music will be keyboard only

• Our venue is a non-traditional performance space and is the large foyer of a beautiful historical house. We perform in a wide space surrounded by windows and french doors and the audience sit in the narrower part of the foyer, beside a large staircase. The performers are likely to use the staircase and move through the audience during the performance.

• Audience participation will be much less than some Improv performances as the only audience participation will be in using the Random Fairytale Generating Machine at the beginning of the show to create the title for the piece.
