Avondale trio HOME BREW have earned a reputation as one of NZ's quirkiest hip-hop acts, capturing the Kiwi experience with a fresh approach and with humour to the fore. They may refuse to take themselves seriously but their live performances are full-on affairs - funky and funny!
They are beginning to make in-roads nationwide and were chosen to play this year's Big Day Out. Home Brew have been impressing the right people - hip-hop guru and Rip it Up editor DJ Sir-Vere is a fan while Mareko said, 'this is the best s*** I've heard in ages.'
With support from local youth acts Dale Soul and last years young rock favourites The Stickmen, these are rising stars at their best.
