Parachute Festival is the largest Christian music festival in the Southern Hemisphere. Held over Auckland anniversary weekend, the Parachute Festival features the heavyweights of Christian music across six stages. Over 100 local and international bands fill Hamilton's Mystery Creek Events Centre with everything from hardcore to hip hop, electronica to alt-country, and plenty in between, creating a platform for Christian artists and speakers from New Zealand and from all around the world. The drug and alcohol free four-day event offers a wide range of entertainment alongside the rock n' roll - including amusement rides, seminars- encouraging food for thought, water slide, skate park, and shopping.
Parachute Festival is a safe environment for families, and has plenty of space for the whole family to enjoy top-notch Christian artists and speakers. The event is strictly drug and alcohol free, and is policed 24/7. Festival has a reserved Family tenting area with noise restrictions in place from 11pm each night, for those who prefer some quiet. We also provide high quality, safe programmes for kids and pre-teens.
Since its inception in 1991, Parachute Festival has become an icon of the Kiwi summer, drawing crowds of 25,000 and attracting the attention of major NZ media including TV 1 and TV 3 news and sponsors including C4, The Edge radio station, Mai FM and Coke.
