A special Mother's Day Concert is planned for Sunday 8 May by The Trusts Waitakere Brass Band at Glen Eden Playhouse Theatre, under the baton of Steven Booth. The Trusts Waitakere Brass Band are one of New Zealand's finest brass bands.

This concert has become a regular annual feature after a sell out audience in 2010. A delightful musical programme has been selected for the afternoon which includes a selection of tunes chosen especially for Mums. There is something for everyone from light classics to Broadway Show Tunes.
Make this a day to remember and celebrate this special occasion in the elegant art deco inspired Glen Eden Theatre. We will be serving afternoon tea in the supper room during the interval only $5 for tea coffee and home made scones with jam and cream. Plus our 'Friends of The Band Club Members' will receive a VIP invite to enjoy a complimentary afternoon tea with the players in the green room!!
