For the first time ever, leading global dance/pop act EXAMPLE is bringing his full live band to Auckland. This event promises one of the most electrifying live dance music experiences the country has ever seen!

Example, born Elliot John Gleave in the early 80s, became an instant global mega star when his third album Playing In The Shadows debuted at number #1 on the UK Album Charts in September 2011. It spawned two monster No #1 singles with 'Changed The Way You Kiss Me' and 'Stay Awake'. 'Changed The Way You Kiss Me' enjoyed high rotation on global music video channels and has clocked an impressive 43 million views on YouTube. It was also nominated for 'Best Single' at the 2012 Brit Awards.
Example then followed this up with album number four, The Evolution of Man, released to widespread acclaim in November. The album has already spawned a UK No #2 smash hit with its debut single 'Say Nothing'. With several tracks featuring the guitar playing of Blur's Graham Coxon. NME called the album, 'Breathtaking in its venom.'

Example is now focused on his live tour - honed to perfection through a series of European Arena shows. He has built a hard-earned reputation for full throttle, high octane shows filled with his ever-expanding plethora of hits. The show features thundering dance beats, and rock star guitar riffs with full light show and a razor sharp live band to match Example's commanding stage presence.

Example is a multi-talented personality. With a background that features work as a voiceover artist for The Comedy Channel, a year spent in Australia working in the props department for Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith, a stint as a stand-up comedian, and a guest hosting spot on Never Mind The Buzzcocks ' Example's urge to create and perform is relentless. With early champions Pete Tong, Zane Lowe and Radio 1 behind him, it's clear that Example was born for stardom.
