      Set in 1924, The Cat's Meow offers a fascinating cross-section of famous Jazz Era characters, including film legend Charlie Chaplin and movie star Marion Davies, who gather for a weekend on William Randolph Hearst's yacht. This darkly comic morality play, laced with clandestine romance and steadily heating tensions is based on the true story. The LA Times described this murder mystery as "a stylish and sardonically funny expose of corrupt Tinseltown values".
