Formally known in Christchurch as Amez Amez in the 1980s, AutoMatic 80s is the rebirth of a world class group of musicians featuring the astonishing sound alike vocals and high energy stage antics of frontman Justin Maclaren, backed up by the pitch perfect Pearl Runga (sister to Boh & Bic), drummer and programmer Andrew Maclaren (Stellar*), guitarists Paul Mason & Chris Warburton with bassist Brett Wells. 

The band plays a hand-picked selection of classic 80s hits by bands including Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Simple Minds, Erasure, Eurythmics, Depeche Mode, Dead or Alive, Madness, ABC, Blondie, U2, Spandau Ballet,Kim Cairnes, Duran Duran, Tears for Fears and many more.
