The passion and the flair of Spanish culture is encapsulated in its music and the marriage of sumptuous harmonies, vivid texts, and evocative Spanish rhythm makes for fantastic listening.

Affetto are known for their alluring and captive performances and they bring to you the lesser known gems from 17th century Spain on authentic instruments.

The music of this place and time sounds so familiar to our modern ear as it draws heavily on folk traditions and the harmonies form a lot of our popular music today.

Beautiful texts set to poignant tunes, sung and played by one of New Zealand's leading early music ensembles.
