Kalopsia: when something appears more beautiful than it actually is.
Sky: something large and blue.
Sarah Claire has got it all worked out, she knows what she is doing, why she is doing it and how long it is going to take. Ella is a personal train wreck that has just been hit by a car and figures she’ll stay at Sarah’s till she’s better.
Kalopsia Sky is the debut work from Frank Creation, a mix of art and theatre. After a successful season in Auckland at The Basement, Frank Creation is proud to bring Kalopsia Sky, to the Hamilton Gardens Arts Festival. The show looks at friendship in a modern climate. What do we do with all the hard stuff? Particularly when, let’s be honest, we don’t even like each other that much. Friendship - can we really be bothered. Climate change - is it as bad as all that. It’s about what you would do if you killed someone’s canary and wrecked their sheets.
‘Kalopsia Sky is a rare little gem . . . Go see it.’ Sam Brooks, The Lumiere Reader
