Wa San Bon is a trio of professional Japanese drummers.  They are based in Tokyo and are said to be the three best taiko drummers in Japan.

The theme of the show is the Maori and Japanese legends of the Creation of Earth. The performers are conscious of maintaining and protecting their kaupapa and taonga.  At the same time, their mission is to propagate their arts and traditions to the wider audiences while inheriting and passing their traditions over to the next generation. 

Through collaborating with other artists, the tradition is even more strengthened and in this way, each artist is able to prove that there are no boundaries to their art form.
