Join award-winning chef Nic Watt of MASU restaurant for an exclusive Masterclass event

Award-winning chef Nic Watt is bringing his passion for flavour and flair for Asian-inspired dishes to the De’Longhi Group showroom with an exclusive Masterclass.

Nic, executive chef at MASU restaurant in SKYCITY’s Federal Street, is joining forces with the latest innovation from Kenwood, the Chef Sense kitchen machine, to show guests how to cook like a top chef. Nic will also share his philosophy for using only the freshest ingredients, letting the food and presentation speak for themselves while making each dish taste sensational.

Guests will enjoy an intimate evening that promises to be both entertaining and informative and which includes a four-course meal, MASU sake, craft beer and a masterclass from one of New Zealand’s top chefs.

Unsurprisingly, Nic grew up in a family passionate about food and cooking. Having graduated from catering college, Nic moved to Japan to sate his adventurous palate and love of seafood. At the Park Hyatt Tokyo he developed a passion for Japanese cuisine.

After leaving Japan and working in prestigious establishments in both the UK and New Zealand, Nic returned to London to launch Roka restaurant. In less than a year, it was named best oriental restaurant at the esteemed Tio Pepe Restaurant Awards.

Shortly after returning to New Zealand in 2012, Nic brought his love of Japanese cuisine to MASU restaurant. With accolades in two of New Zealand’s premier restaurant awards – including Supreme Winner of Metro magazine’s Restaurant of the Year and a finalist in two categories of the 2014 Cuisine Good Food Awards – Nic’s one rising star you don't want to miss.

Ticket includes a Masterclass cooking demonstration and four-course meal with sake prepared by Nic Watt, craft beer and a goodie bag of premium items including a MASU bamboo sake carafe to take home.
