Two of the biggest names on the Australasian fine dining scene join forces for a spectacular one-night only degustation. Mark Best started out as an electrician in the gold mines of Western Australia before picking up the knives at age 25. Following time in some of the best restaurants in the world such as l’Arpege in Paris and Le Manoir aux Quatre Saisons, Best opened Marque in Sydney in 1999.
Since then, Marque has received accolade after accolade, including three inclusions on San Pellegrino’s 50 Best Restaurants in the World list. Locally, chef Des Harris and Clooney’s reputation is unsurpassed – with the recent Metro awards bestowing their esteemed 5-spoon award once again.
Best and Harris collaborate for the first time alongside the award winning Clooney dining room to create an extraordinary degustation evening.
A Taste of Marque at Clooney is part of Restaurant Month in the Heart of the City’s Chef Dining Series.
