Mount Albert Grammar School’s Fine Art Show is an annual highlight on the school’s event calendar. The inaugural show in 2014 was so successful, with over 400 pieces of work by 200 artists on show and rose $47,000 for the MAGS Foundation, which invests into the future of the school. The show will have a cross section of work including painting, photography, ceramics and sculpture.

The weekend kicks off with the Opening Gala Evening on Friday 21 August which is a ticketed event followed by the free entry days - Saturday and Sunday.

If you are keen to be the first to view and purchase works and want a great night out, then Friday night is a must attend event. Tickets are $40 and this includes delicious canapés, beverages and entertainment.

In 2014 the event sold out and a third of the artwork sold that evening. It’s a lot of fun particularly if you encourage some of your friends to join you and it’s a great opportunity to meet up with some of the other parents.

Weekend days are free admission, so encourage your friends and family to come and see some of New Zealand’s fine artists, alongside some of MAGS top art students, teachers and the community.
