Kicking off the biggest weekend in New Zealand fashion, the official NZ Fashion Weekend Opening Party is going to be the hottest ticket in town for fashion and music lovers.

Come down after work to the official NZ Fashion Weekend opening party with entertainment from 6pm on Friday 28th August. This party promises to be the biggest bash yet – with Kate Sylvester debuting to NZ her Spring Summer 2015 / 2016 collection to NZ (The Runway doors will open at 8pm) inspired by the ever loved classic, Romeo & Juliet. 

An understated celebration of casual luxe and sartorial classics, Kate Sylvester pays homage to both Franco Zefferelli and Baz Lurhman’s movie adaptation of the Bard’s play.

But the night doesn’t end there – that’s just when the party really starts, with The Sweet Mix Kids DJ’ing you into the night.

Spending their time between Los Angeles, New York City and little old New Zealand, this eclectic duo play live drums, electric violins and mix the old school with the new. Playing only at the most exclusive clubs and festivals in New Zealand and abroad, they’ll keep you going all night long.

And while the party winds up at the ANZ VEC at 11:30pm, the night doesn’t end there. Party goers can then head down to the exclusive Britomart bar, 1885 and continue the evening in style at the NZFW after party.
