K’Rd’s vital and significant past is tackled by one of New Zealand’s most sought after and prolific dance companies – Okareka Dance Company. Following 21 sold-out standing ovations in 2013, the sexy all male dance-theatre hit stops over for two nights at The Meteor, Hamilton before touring to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe!

K'Rd Strip is Okareka’s response to an Auckland landmark that has anchored its deep roots into the veins of New Zealand history, both culturally and counter-culturally. The result is spectacular, unlike anything Okareka have created before; drag queens, haka, contemporary dance and real life stories entwined with live vocals of an all New Zealand music score from the likes of Gin Wigmore, The Exponents, Th’Dudes, Crowded House and more.

“…hilarious, heartbreaking, informative, entertaining and spiritually profound.” (Metro)
      “…nothing short of genius.” (TheatreScenes)

Recommended for ages 14+ Contains adult themes.
