Barnum is primarily an entertainer – willing to stretch the truth to bring wonder, fascination to other people while ultimately bringing dollars to his own pocket.

The show is a reflection of Barnum’s life seen through Barnum’s eyes. Sometimes being selective in what he remembers and what is skipped over. From small beginnings – essentially ‘street hustling’ with his smaller first acts, through to building up his legacy acts, namely The American Museum of Wonder, General Tom Thumb, Jenny Lind (The Swedish Nightingale), and ultimately the ‘Barnum and Bailey Circus – The Greatest Show On Earth’.
