It doesn’t take a magician to make something out of nothing. It takes thought, imagination and some know-how. Join the clever food hackers from The Cult Project (Will & Carlo, both formerly of Matterhorn amongst other impressive restaurants) in their journey to create a sumptuous dinner made out of what was otherwise going to waste. Yes, tonight we’ve got ‘nothing’ for dinner.
Alongside them, the ‘food rescuers’ at Kiwi Harvest and whole food masters Misters Real Food are collaborating to deliver something special. Expect a thought provoking night packed with creative food and drink, and perhaps making something out of nothing. Be prepared to roll up your sleeves too….
Ticket includes snacks, a 3-course menu and a non-alcoholic drink.
Nothing for Dinner is part of Restaurant Month in the Heart of the City 2016.
- To Start - Winter’s pickings: roasted potato skins, soured vegetables and Will & Carlo’s homemade cucumber yoghurt
- Entrée - Pickled green salad
- Main - Asado-style (BBQ) meats with seasonal smash and charred kraut
- Dessert - Orchard fruit, nut milk custard and the discoveries from the day’s forage
Very special thanks to KiwiHarvest for rescuing our dinner.
