Mighty Duke & The Lords, with their crisp linen suits and sharp-witted lyrics, never fail to bring their tropical cyclone of mad calypso rhythm and rum soaked tomfoolery to the dance floor.  The band includes members from past Hamilton Gardens Arts Festival favourites, the Melbourne SKA Orchestra. As well as from Suitcase Royale, NO ZU and The Lucksmiths.

Comedian Barnie Duncan (stage name Juan Vesuvius) was booked to perform in Friday night’s “This is Calypso” show, ahead of main act Mighty Duke and the Lords.  But Duncan has been hospitalised in Melbourne, and has been forced to cancel 

Acclaimed acoustic beat-box duo Jamie MacDowell and Tom Thum onto the opening night bill.
