Back in May Auckland's nightlife was treated to an education from one of the true pioneers of the disco scene - after more than 30 years in the game, John Morales made his NZ debut at an intimate club gig that many have hailed as the night of the year.

John never saw daylight in Auckland during his brief visit and was itching to get back and enjoy some kiwi hospitality good and proper, and so we're stoked to announce that the man behind the legendary "M+M Mixes" will be back in town for a very different daytime disco on Sunday 17th January 2016.

Since John was last in NZ he's travelled the world extensively, securing residencies at the Defected "Glitterbox" party in Ibiza & Ministry of Sound, London playing alongside some of the biggest names in the scene, as well as countless festivals & gigs delivering his distinct soulful disco vibes from Singapore to Amsterdam.

If you missed the gig last time, you won't wanna slouch on this - to make the most of the beautiful Auckland summer, we've upgraded the venue to the lush Mantells on the Water - overlooking Westhaven marina, recently home to the Red Bull Do-Over, and many of you will remember that epic Crazy P/Norman Jay gig from a few years back.  

We've upsized the venue, the sound system and the support DJ lineup to build you a Sunday that's sure to go down as one of the best. Alongside Morales is Frank Booker, fresh from a European tour, this Mt Albert mystery man has certainly been making dancefloor waves around the world lately, he's the perfect lead in to JM.  Also on the bill, visiting from Australia is Eddie Mac, long time host of the Bionic Boogie Radio Show on KissFM in Melbourne, one of the busiest DJs/Promoters in the Aussie scene, this guy knows disco, and can put shots away like nobodies business.

Further local support from Nigel Love, who held his own back to back with Morales closing out the gig earlier in the year, Murray Cammick, who really needs no introduction as one of the godfathers of the NZ Music scene, and a guy named Sweetpants, who specialises in good times with good people.

These are indeed quality ingredients for a mighty day on the dancefloor, forget Monday, its the holidays - get along and get down!
