As You Like It

'The things we do for love...'

Directed by Calum Gittins
Featuring Unitec’s Year 3 Acting Students

Something is amiss in a small corner of France.

The balance of power has shifted, brother has turned on brother, the fools have been silenced, and far worse than all of this, Rosalind has fallen in love.

What else to do then but escape to the Forest of Arden? Come and fleet the time carelessly in the company of melancholy courtiers and lovesick shepherds. Where the trees speak poetry and something in the air has made sure that no one can quite find what they are looking for.

The Winter’s Tale

Jealousy kills – Love heals

Directed by Paul Gittins
Featuring Unitec’s Year 3 Acting Students

A tale set in the two very different worlds of wintry, formal Sicilia and warm, rustic Bohemia. The Winter’s Tale mixes the powerful emotional intensity of King Leontes of Sicilia’s court with the simplicity and engaging humanity of the Bohemian countryside to create a wonderfully absorbing story that touches the heart and the funny bone in equal measure.
