Lifeworld (in five parts) by Claire O’Neil celebrates the different ways we move through the world and our potential to choose the way we see it. The lifeworld is our shared ground, and this performance focuses on our inability to separate from the world; from structure, things, and the perceptions and appreciations of others. Whether Lifeworld (in five parts) feels close to home, vaguely familiar or almost alien depends on where you’ve been.

“But it means something... doesn’t it? You mean something... don’t you? Do ya know what you mean…? I wanna know what you mean… what do you mean, you don’t know what I mean???!!” - The Narrator

Footnote New Zealand Dance presents this new work by one of the country’s most exciting, energetic choreographers at The Meteor for one night only. Lifeworld (in five parts) elevates the everyday in a grand theatre of objects, where movement, humour and social commentary collide.
