Comedy at the Meteor is back for the last show of 2016. Late October is probably too early to call it a Christmas special, but PHWOAR!! It'll be a cracker!*

We've dug deep into the Santa stockings on the mantelpiece** and pulled together a fantastic lineup, headlined by James Keating. A stalwart of the NZ Comedy scene since the days of Pulp Comedy (remember that) and 2009 Billy T Award nominee, he'll be sure to entertain with his "Quick, clever, intelligent rapier wit." (TVNZ).
Also unwrapping gifts of golden frank insights and mirth*** will be rising star Pax Assadi. Nominated for the 2013 Billy T Award and 2016 Fred Award (for the best kiwi show in the NZ International Comedy Festival), Pax is "A genuine talent with a gift for stand-up" (Keeping Up With NZ).
They'll be supported by 3 up and coming comedy elves****
Tony Lyall - "Unfaltering and contagious energy throughout" (The Speakeasy)
Bridget Davies - "A star of the future who is already starting to shine" (NZ Comedy Review)
And MC Tim Müller - “Nice and friendly trader, highly recommended to all +++” (Wayne from Invercargill)
Join us for a guaranteed pre-December festive chuckle. With so many killer comedians with such diverse styles, you can guarantee at least a couple are going to sleigh!***** Ho ho hope to see you there!******

“I went in with an open mind and left with sore cheeks from all the constant laughing” – The Speakeasy

* Hey! No Christmas puns
** What did I just say?
*** OK, that one's actually really clever.
**** That's not even a pun. You need to stop this right now.
***** Did you really think I wasn't going to see that?
****** This has gone too far. Come see me in my office.
