Caitlin Nic Gabhann
with Ciarán Ó Maonaigh and Cathal Ó Curráin

Pirate and Queen Productions is proud to present three of Ireland’s best traditional musicians – Caitlín Nic Gabhann, Ciarán Ó Maonaigh, and Cathal Ó Curráin, making their first tour of New Zealand. The trio presents an astounding level of musicianship, and a rare chance to be viewed up close in the intimate setting of Nelson's Suter Theatre.

Caitlín Nic Gabhann is a three-time All-Ireland concertina champion, and an accomplished step dancer who has toured the world many times over with Riverdance.

Ciarán Ó Maonaigh hails from Donegal, Ireland, a region famous for its fiddle players. He’s a former recipient of the TG4 Irish Musician of the Year award, and best known for his work with the band Fidil, through which he released three critically acclaimed albums.

Cathal Ó Curráin is a young, multi-instrumentalist and singer of exceptional talent who has won prestigious All-Ireland awards for his Sean Nós (old style) singing and fiddle playing, and also plays banjo and bouzouki. He's worked with many of Ireland's top artists, including Altan's Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh, Dermot Byrne, and Kila.
