THE STORY OF VERNON AND IRENE CASTLE (1939) pairs Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire in a biopic about the Castles, a famous early 20th century ballroom dancing team.

Packed with musical numbers and big on romance, the film shows how Vernon and Irene take the dance scene of Paris by storm and become a world sensation. But WW1 looms, and with it tragedy.
