Gina Cole reads from her stunning new book of short stories ‘Black Ice Matter’ which has got rave reviews. Douglas Lloyd Jenkins is best known as a groundbreaking nonfiction writer on style. But now he’s written a gay novel set amongst the architects and builders of an expansionary Auckland.

Sam Orchard’s witty graphic novels are well known and loved. Courtney Sina Meredith, an internationally recognised writer reads from her highly praised ‘Tail of the Taniwha’. The frequently hilarious Julie Helean has a new novel out ‘We the Ones’.  Chaired by Festival director Peter Wells

Note: At the end of the session the 2017 Wallace Arts Foundation Short Story Prize winner is announced and the winner reads their winning entry.
