      Have you ever wanted to be let down by some French people, eat some French food, and drink French wine, maybe a little French on the side? Well, we can offer three of those. (Unless you’re feeling lucky)

      Due to some unforeseen difficulties the two French chefs have laid down their knives, sprouted a white flag and bailed! In response to this, our dedicated chefs Damian Husted and Oliver Philp have marked this disappointment just after the Rainbow Warrior and 2007s Rugby World Cup. They’re also going to write their own French menu, and make it better!

      With all that in mind, come and join us at Scarecrow on the 22nd of July for an evening of culinary wonder (revenge), ambiguous French remarks, and the magnificent wine which we can never forget!

      Hosted by the lovely Alison Dyson and Scarecrow’s beautiful front of house you’re sure to be treated like royalty, prior to the whole French Revolution thing…

      A French Affair will feature an artisanal three course dinner, designed with the care and affection you’ll only find in the arms of your lover, or perhaps your Grand-mère… 

      Alongside will be wine matches provided by the handsome Hubert Lauriot-Prevost of Macvine, and of course, all of you enjoying the evening!

      Seats are limited to 50 so get in fast, it’s sure to be a sell out!

      Entrée:
      Crème de Potiron / Prosciutto de Canard / Champignon
      NZ pumpkin & squash soup, cured duck prosciutto, mushrooms, toasted seeds, chervil.

      Main: 
      Baked Cod / Provencal Pistou / White Bean Puree / Tomme / Braised Vegetables
      Or:
      Legumes et Fruits en Gros Morceaux 
      Thrice Prepared Winter Vegetables / Savoury Fruit /  Tomato Vinegar / Parsley Cream & Oil

      Last Season’s Plums /Brûléed Orange/ Crème Fraîche Ice Cream
