VIV JAMES FOUNDER, RACE4LIFE TRUST

Previously a teacher, deputy principal and a mother of three adult children, Viv found herself working in the Palliative Care area with Mercy Hospice Auckland. Viv established the Opening Doors Programme which was designed to enhance the quality of life of people living with life limiting illness.

It was here she discovered the true meaning of the motto 'living every moment'. Much to their joy, the resulting Wish-List Service encouraged patients to request some of their innermost desires so they could have them fulfilled. February 2015 saw a totally unexpected development via a diagnosis of Melanoma.

The pathway that this led Viv down is the subject of her Courageous Conversation - AKA the launch of Race4Life Trust.

DIANE MAXWELL RETIREMENT COMMISSIONER, COMMISSION FOR FINANCIAL CAPABILITY

Diane leads the Commission for Financial Capability and actually could aptly be described as a 'futurist'.

The Commission, best known for 'Sorted' has been gaining attention for its work around NZ's ageing population and how we can pay for it. We might think the issues that Diane grapples with are somewhat 'subject matter dry'...but Diane's impressive combination of innovation, humour, personal insights and attention-grabbing story-telling means she is one hot-ticket-item when it comes to speaking.

And Diane's personal story is an inspiration.
