Producers Four Men @ Lunch present “Tomfoolery”, a revue of the witty, wicked and thoroughly twisted world of famed satirical songwriter Tom Lehrer, on stage at The Albion Hotel Basement Theatre.

When Tom Lehrer's songs first surfaced in the 1950's, they seemed the last word in witty naughtiness. Much like his contemporary Mort Sahl, Mr. Lehrer had the temerity to be rude about all sorts of sacred cows - from the Boy Scouts to nuclear militarism - but his rudeness always came veiled in charm. However biting his lyrics, he'd still leave you with a winning tune to hum.  ''Tomfoolery,'' is a compilation of virtually all the best Lehrer ditties - 28 in total.

Despite the passage of time (or perhaps because of it) the charm and intelligence of the songs are still in evidence: the lyrics are almost always dextrous, the pastiche melodies almost always clever.
