Bessie, Christchurch’s newest meat restaurant, presents their unmissable Wine & Meat series with part one taking place Thursday 21st September. Come along to an evening of great food and wine with guest speaker, ex All Black and one of New Zealand’s greatest ever locks, Ian Jones.
Known as the ‘Kamo Kid’, Ian Jones first debuted as an All Black in 1990, soon to become one of New Zealand’s favourite locks. Having celebrated his 50th cap in 1996 with another try at Carisbrook stadium, Jones left New Zealand in 1999 to play for the English club Gloucester. Returning to New Zealand in 2002, after retiring from the game, you will now see Ian commonly as a television commentator.
Spend the evening enjoying Bessie’s carefully selected set menu of some of our finest dishes, showcasing New Zealand’s world class produce and dry aged meat, which is made in-house and then finished on a charcoal oven, roaring at 450 degrees Celsius.
This will be an experience to remember and sell out is expected, so don’t delay and reserve your spot now.
