Cathedral Organ Recital 7– Olivier Latry – Saturday 21 April 2018, 7.30pm-9pm
Holy Trinity Cathedral presents Olivier Latry, organist at Notre-Dame in Paris and a leading worldwide ambassador for his instrument.
Olivier has performed in the world's most prestigious venues, been the guest of leading orchestras under renowned conductors, recorded for major labels, and premiered an impressive number of works. Olivier teaches at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Paris and is a recipient of numerous international distinctions and awards.

The Cathedral organ - designed, built and installed by Nicholson & Co Ltd of Malvern, UK - is the largest pipe organ in New Zealand, the largest church organ in Australasia, and the largest organ to be built in the UK since the 1940s. Installation of the organ was completed in June 2017 and the organ was blessed at a Dedication Service on Sunday 11 June.
This is the last recital in the 2017/2018 Cathedral Organ Recital Series. The series featured performances by Michael Stewart, Organist of Wellington Cathedral; Andrew Lumsden Organist of Winchester Cathedral; Paul Tarling former Organ Scholar; John Linker Organist of Christchurch Cathedral.
