Morrinsville Theatre is proud to present one of Stephen Sondheim's most popular works, Into the Woods - a musically sophisticated show. Director, Travis Maclennan (with musical direction by Ian McLaughlan and choreography by Ellen-Moana Smith) brings everyone's favorite fairytale characters together for a timeless, yet relevant, piece of storytelling.

As the result of the curse of a once-beautiful witch, a baker and his wife are childless. Three days before the rise of a blue moon, they venture into the forest to find the ingredients that will reverse the spell and restore the witch's beauty: a cow as white as milk, hair as yellow as corn, a cape as red as blood and a slipper as pure as gold. During their journey, they meet Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and Rapunzel; each one on a quest to fulfill a wish.
