Marewa – the Maori word for a gift from the sea – is the name given to this beautiful residential suburb built on land raised by the 1931 Hawke’s Bay earthquake.

Your guide will take you on a walking tour of the Art Deco homes and gardens of this unique area, giving you a fascinating insight into residential Art Deco design.

You’ll be hosted by a home owner for a relaxed morning or afternoon tea in the garden of a stunning example of Napier’s celebrated style.

Meet the guide at the corner of Morse Street and Alpers Terrace, Marewa. Book early for this very special tour.
