Fantail Network brings their latest symposium to Auckland for 2018
Nothing Normal Ever Changed A Damn Thing
‘Showing Up’
This year we stage the symposium, gathering together 150 curious business women with a range of outstandingly inspirational speakers, story tellers and trainers; all here for one reason…to support, encourage and enable women to excel in business, right now.
In past years the symposium has enriched the minds of business women and established itself as a ‘not to be missed event’, characterised not only by the calibre of our guest speakers and the enthusiasm and engagement of our audience but also by the warmth and welcome provided by ASB at The ASB Cube.
The line up so far:
Jo Finer
GM NZ Industry Affairs; Fonterra
Back from addressing the UN on women in agriculture, Jo has 25 years of technical and general management in the NZ dairy industry. From leading global regulatory affairs to optimising access for 140 export markets to spending time dairy farming,
Jo’s inspires though energy, passion, tenacity and charisma.
And find out about this… #whatIsaidwhenIwas23inameeting
Sam Williams
Strategist, Marketeer, Chief Story Teller; Aamplify
‘The days of forcing your message in front of someone and hoping it sticks are dead.”
Sam’s vision of the digital-social change we are experiencing, and how it is fundamentally altering the way we market, is the ultimate wake-up call for us all. Prepare to be disturbed.
Maggie Eyre
Director – FRESH EYRE
Having worked with leaders on the world stage to business leaders, we have Maggie, right here, with us… demystifying how to manage that common dread of appearing before an audience.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER ANNOUNCEMENT!
David Downs, General Manager NZTE
David Downs joins the 'Showing Up' Symposium as our keynote speaker!
David Downs, General Manager, New Zealand Trade & Enterprise (NZTE), has a truly compelling personal story to tell!
In 2016 he got the flu. Not the man-flu, something more serious. As it turned out, what he thought was a mild touch of the flu turned out to be a pretty serious touch of the cancer. Through the next year and a half, David learned a lot about cancer, its effects on the human body, some pretty amazing science and ultimately, personal resilience and the power of positivity.
‘Nothing normal ever changed a damn thing’ couldn’t be more apt when it comes to David and his story.
Sharing his experience via inspirational blogs on Stuff and featuring on TV3’s The Project, David showed up to wrangle cancer.
David will share his journey through cancer and he will tell us why middle-aged men shouldn’t wear boxer shorts when they are having chemotherapy.
And that’s not all, we have more to come - watch out for further announcements!
