Be electrified by the sound of Bach live and up close!
Hear James Tibbles at the harpsichord bringing all the intricacy, delicacy, and beauty of J.S. Bach to life. Join us for an all Bach programme including Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 with Sally Tibbles (baroque flute), Concerto in D minor for harpsichord, Suite for strings in D major, and Arias for strings from the Passions.
James Tibbles is one of New Zealand's leading players of historic keyboards, with an active international performing and recording career. James is Coordinator of Early Music Studies at the University of Auckland, where he teaches historic keyboards. He has a substantial discography; his latest release, on the paladino music label, is of J.S. Bach sonatas for viola da gamba and harpsichord, recorded last year with Laura Vaughan (Australia).
NZ Barok would like to thank Auckland Council, Stout Trust, Foundation North, Four Winds Foundation, The Wallace Foundation and Pub Charity for their support.
