Torbay Playcentre is excited to be hosting a movie night fundraiser at Albany Event Cinemas featuring the hilarious new comedy “Tully” (more information below).

Enjoy a fun night out with your friends, family, and neighbours seeing a fantastic movie while fundraising for a great cause!

All proceeds will go towards the much needed upgrade of Torbay Playcentre’s outdoor space.

Tickets will sell fast, don’t miss out! Only, $25 per person (includes a goodie bag).

A new comedy from Academy Award-nominated director Jason Reitman (“Up in the Air”) and Academy Award-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody (“Juno”). Tully will see Charlize Theron in a brand new light — and badass in a completely different way.

Theron plays Marlo, a mother of three, including a newborn. She’s pumping her breasts and looks miserable and barely getting by raising her three kids. When dinner is ready, its frozen pizza.

Honestly, Charlize could use a break. And what do you know! Tully a free-spirited 26 year old with a bare midriff and a carefree ease, appears, as if by magic, on Marlo’s doorstep. She utters the words, “I’m here to take care of you,” and we hear all the mother’s in the world sigh with relief.

We’ve seen Theron fight off bad guys many, many times, and now we’re about to see her fight motherhood. Once again, her versatility and powerful performances speak for themselves, and Tully looks like another hit. What looks like a modern Mary Poppins will surely have us see a unique relationship between two women. And we are so here for that.

This award winning team is about to bring some #motherhood realness to the screen. Get the tissues everyone. And have your mom on speed dial!
