Fonterra presents
Back again for 2018, some Fonterra farmers are opening their gates so New Zealanders have the opportunity to go on farm, learn about how Fonterra farmers care for our environment and what happens on a dairy farm.
This year, Kevin and Caroline would like to invite you to visit their farm in Karaka!
Kevin and Caroline’s farm in Karaka is home to their dog Smudge, their four horses Davey, Leo, Jack and Moet and of course their 450 cows. The large 190-hectare property gives the animals lots of room to roam freely. Kevin spent many years as a mechanic and Caroline was a school teacher, but after a change of heart, they took up dairy farming and haven’t looked back. Farming for the past 12 years, they began in Taupo and moved up to the Karaka farm two years ago.
Love animals? Then you’ll love Kevin and Caroline’s farm.
