YMCA - Walk the Line
Part of NZ Fashion Weekend

Young designers from across New Zealand are hitting the runway at New Zealand Fashion Week. Run for youth, by youth - the ‘Walk the Line’ fashion show is a fantastic opportunity for the future stars of the New Zealand fashion industry to make their mark on a world stage, before they’ve even left high school. 

‘Walk the Line’ is organised by YMCA Auckland, a non-profit organisation that aims to give back to the community by helping young people to grow, develop and reach their full potential. Their vision is to build strong kids, strong families and strong communities, and this drives everything they do.

Every garment shown at ‘Walk the Line’ has been designed, sewn and styled by high school students aged between thirteen and eighteen, and the show is managed solely by the YMCA Auckland North Shore Raise Up Crew, who facilitate, produce and direct the show.

Past ‘Walk the Line’ designers have gone on to pursue exciting and successful careers in fashion – which is exactly what YMCA Auckland hopes to facilitate, so this show is a great chance to see what the future of the New Zealand fashion will look like.

Tickets include entry to NZ Fashion Weekend (home of the Designer Pop-Up Sale and Beauty Hub), as well as FREE entry into the General Collective Markets so you can gather your nearest and dearest for a pre-show champagne, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a spot of people-watching.
