International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples will be celebrated in Taranaki on 09 August 2019, observing the theme of the promotion and protection of the rights of the world’s indigenous peoples.

Our kaupapa is to honour indigenous peoples and generate further community whanaungatanga-relationship building with an event centered around celebrating Maori knowledge holders.

Tū Māori ki Taranaki is an event aimed at celebrating the achievements of the indigenous peoples of Aotearoa, te iwi Maori.

Following on from last year’s event, in 2019 we present to you an inspiring line up of indigenous speakers:
Dr Moana Jackson, Marcus Akuhata- Brown and Dr Joeliee Seed-Pihama with special guest MC.

      Lunch included in ticket price.

Also featuring goods and products in our Mākete Māori including Māori pickles, clothing, honey, rongoa, jewellery and weaving. Cash only.
