Makoto of Cocoro in Auckland was born and raised in a Buddhist temple in Kyushu, with an upbringing of traditional home-cooking focusing on local produce.
This greatly influenced his present style of cooking at his highly acclaimed restaurant Cocoro in Auckland. In 2018, Cocoro was named Restaurant of the Year in the Cuisine Good Food Awards.
Chef Shaun Clouston’s good friends Makoto Tokoyama and Ricky Lee from Cocoro are joining the Logan Brown team for an exclusive two-night experience.
